Which survey do I need?
Choose a pre-purchase survey if you are buying a boat and want a detailed independent assessment before committing. An insurance survey is appropriate if your insurer has requested a report to support a new policy or renewal. A valuation survey provides an independent opinion of market value for insurance, sale or finance purposes. A condition survey is for existing owners who want a clear picture of their vessel’s current state and maintenance needs.

Vessel types surveyed
Surveys can be arranged for a wide range of vessels including yachts, motor boats, narrowboats, fishing vessels, RIBs and multihulls, covering GRP, timber, steel and composite construction. Additional survey services
In addition to the main survey types, AC Yacht & Boat Surveyors also carries out damage surveys and pre-sale surveys. A damage survey reports on a specific area of damage, recommends appropriate repairs and where relevant establishes probable cause. A pre-sale survey is commissioned by a seller who wants an independent assessment of condition before bringing a vessel to market.
